Practical life
The Practical Life component of our curriculum is primarily aimed at helping children become independent, so that they do not need or actively
pursue adult assistance. It is an approach that link between the child's home environment and the classroom. Our classroom involves practical life
materials, which engage the children in precise movements that challenge them to focus, work uninterruptedly at their own pace, and complete a
work cycle that usually results in feelings of accomplishment and confidence.
Sensorial
The main aim of the Sensory Field is to develop the ability to be active- minded, to maintain attention over long periods of time and to practice
sharp observational capabilities. Sensory activities provide a cognitive foundation for being an autonomous, conceptual thinker and a vigilant
observer. Encounter children with sensorial material from an early age are developing a sense of order and they actively seek to sort, arrange and
classify their many experiences.
Our sensorial materials allow children to experience initially in perceiving distinctions between similar and different things. For sensorial play we
materials and resources such as and color, form, dimension, texture, temperature, volume, pitch, weight, soft/rough/smooth tiles, circle, square,
cube and so on, which make the world even more meaningful to the child.
Language
Language forms the core of the environmental transformation that we call civilization. We build children language skills learning with oral language
and gradually takes the child to sounds and then attaching that sound to a symbol and showing a child word is made up of lots of sounds put
together. We deliver several teaching approaches to encourage children to joyfully learn to read and write before primary school and structure the
language curriculum for the children around their natural interests and abilities.
In a small group activity, teacher implement phonics awareness, hand movements with sandpaper Letters and word building using the movable
alphabet to compose word. Also, our classrooms provide a wide range of reading activities, including noun cards that match pictures and command
cards for children, that give a child a command to act. We also have a reading corner for both classroom which allow children to read book and
engage with words and images.
Mathematics
Our Montessori mathematics curriculum introduce children to the fascinating world of numbers through fun and meaningful activities, which are
carefully designed to impart mathematical knowledge to the children. Based on child’s natural interest, we encourage children to take the initiative
in numeracy and more importantly, trust in their own abilities to do math, instead of the arithmetic phobias that many children get in primary
school.
We used Montessori resources for number recognition, addition, subtraction, division, quantities and manipulation through numbers rods,
numbers cards, colored bead stairs and strips boards. Our center has two classrooms, so we equip toddlers and preschool classroom all with age-
appropriate math materials that can take child all the way to simple to advance level. Our Montessori materials ensure that each child learn the
specific and basic concept of mathematic principles through trained teacher.
Biology
Interest in nature has been a natural thing for every human being since the beginning of time. Children have an amazing natural curiosity in living
creatures, and learning about plants and animal is about biology. In the first five years of life, children have absorbed an endless wealth of
impression soaking in all the aspects of the world around them. In our Montessori Classroom, we introduce biology via Leave shapes insets and
cards, Tree, Leaf, flower puzzles, Botany cards. The toddler's children are taught the structure of plants, leaves, roots and the distribution on a
geographic level. The child always deals with object first, then introduce cards or to the abstract thing.
Art & Craft
Throughout our classes, art is incorporated, which allow the children to learn crucial art skills, such as using scissors, glueing, holding a pencil
properly, drawing between lines, and exploring the process of making something beautiful from beginning to end. We provide material to children
where they can create their artwork designs and the opportunity to be influenced by great artists through unique Montessori art supplies.
Cultural
The Montessori culture program provide opportunity to children to access diverse resources from all around the world and develop an early
interest in learning about the diverse world, its natural wonders, its people, history and culture, its music and art. At the moment we have
Aboriginal corner in the classroom, which allow children to be familiar with old tradition and history of Australia. The table also invites children to
dot painting and get to know the symbol in Aboriginal language.
